Seafood Feast

The theme in March was seafood. This group enjoyed a delicious feast with a beautiful presentation of each course. The menu included Hot Seafood Dip, Gazpacho, Bouillabaisse and Crème Brule.

David's house
Another group had a great time with the theme. The main dish was cioppino (seafood soup) and everyone brought something to put in the soup (scallops, shrimp, fish). The menu also included Caesar Salad with anchovies (on the side), shrimp toast appetizers and poke cake (word play on Poke Hawaiian diced raw fish) for dessert. All in all, it was a great experience and everyone had a great time.

This group went with a Baja California theme. They had bacon-wrapped shrimp for appetizers, Baja fish tacos with rice/bean casserole for the main course, and bunuelos and flan for dessert. They also enjoyed margaritas and Mexican beer.

The hosts for this group chose a "seaside" look for the table, featuring a variety of shells. Everyone contributed to the delicious seafood feast, beginning with Sea Breeze cocktails, rosemary scallops in champagne sauce and grilled shrimp. Next up was a salad featuring feta, craisins & pecans which was followed by the entrée - baked salmon with creamy coconut-ginger sauce, coconut-ginger rice and a summer vegetable gratin. A tasty key lime pie finished off the meal. It was another fun evening with old and new friends.
